Exhaust manifolds w/surprise gifts

Passenger rear with shielding bracket and french lock

Passenger rear 2 bolts

Driver side manifold coming off (with acorns inside)

Ahhh, rat poop and ???

Exhuast port on block

Difficult to read, but this says "LH" 3733976
Judging guide says LH should be a 3733975, and "RH" is the 3733976.  Typo?

Again, appears to be 3733976 Left-hand exhaust manifold.
Need to wire brush it a bit for clarity.

Notice Exhaust heat riser attached to passenger manifold

Doors & weatherstripping...

Note: top & bottom Phillips screws should be unpainted (not body color)

...and star washer should be unpainted as well.
Note: "S" in a square on weatherstrip (original rubber manufacturer's logo)

More "S" in square manufacturer logo

Unsure why these holes are here (on both doors)??

Original Door striker.  Rubber bumper is normally about 3-times the thickness (when new)

Sill plates and step plates are both original stainless steel.  Step plates should use #6 Phillips low height fillister head screws.

Screws should be #8 Phillips oval head screws on sill plates.  Currently, it's a bit of a mix of incorrect/hardware store screws and stripped originals

Lighter, Gauges & Ignition switch

Nice original lighter

Original "CASCO 12V" cigarette lighter

Notice the correct three retaining prongs inside lighter socket

Original Fuel gauge

Original Temp gauge

Nice/original 6,000 RPM tach w/revolution counter.  Note: 283 HP w/fuel injection used a steering mounted 8,000 tach.

Original Battery gauge

Original Oil pressure gauge

Original clock.
Note the small "F" and "S" under the 12 o'clock. Used for Fast & Slow on the adjusting screw (above the 12).

Original ignition switch w/black bezel/white lettering and single release hole at 1 o'clock position.

Exhaust & acorn removal...

We found a store of acorns in the exhaust...forward of the mufflers!

Each side had some unique wooden (with metal sleeve) exhaust supports.  I believe they're original, but need to do some additional research.

Some muffler clamps we could remove...others we could not. Although the exhaust looks "silver" - it seems to have been painted over as it was quite rusty.  Note: ground strap on that driver side muffler clamp.

Rear driver-side clamp was using a piece of metal strapping vs. original fastener.

The rear-most exhaust extension was surprisingly original looking and not rusted at all.  Could that segment be original?  More research needed for those part #'s. Driver side.

Passenger side

Exterior rear body

Rear tail lamp screws are correct...red conical lenses are cracked

Recessed chrome tail lamp assemblies are quite pitted

Correct rear license plate bracket

Note: bracket has correct "CHEV 3711166" part number

Black plastic mounting nut/spacer are stripped (common problem)

Antenna won't fully extend, and antenna ball and shaft should be magnetic carbon steel (but they're not??).  We'll need to replace.
