Fluids, brake master cylinder rebuild

We had already added rear-end gear oil. Time for fresh engine oil...

And transmission gear oil.

Brought the pitted master cylinder to Power Brake Exchange in S.J.

They honed it out and did the rebuild.

Turned out nice!

Old parts shown below the rebuilt master.

The original heater control valve is in bad shape. New one just arrived.

Well, you learn something everyday!
The zerk fittings on the upper A-Arm, outer pivot shafts are supposed to be toward the rear of the vehicle...not facing forward. The reasoning? A) easier access to the grease fitting.  And B) after removing the fitting, you can access the Allen bolt for caster/camber (w/out removing the cap). We screwed up. Let's get it corrected...

Passenger side pic.

Given the vehicle is under load (springs installed), we had to strap down the chassis, remove the shock, front stabilizer link, and compress the spring. Then, the pivot shaft caps could be safely removed.

That's now correct. That's on us!

Trip to Chris' shop...
