Excited to get the clutch on...
And then we realized this original-style 3 finger
10.5 inch clutch doesn't fit the bolt holes in the flywheel.
Date code on this flywheel is July of "9" - either 1959
or 1969, but definitely not from a 57. : (
Wrong flywheel. Won't fit our clutch, so we can't install the tranny & motor today.
Did some minor sanding before a couple touch-up Chevy orange blasts
Generator bracket going on
Finalized some misc. brake lines
Added the spark plug looms
Too bad we need to cover the original Delco-Remy distributor tag, but the coil bracket needs mounting.
Adding the Generator adjustable brace
Starting cleaning up the dipstick tube
In the end, we decided to order another one
Ready & waiting for a correct flywheel...
